APFlow / Integration engineering

MCP server development

Give your AI agent tools it can actually use. We design and build Model Context Protocol servers that let agents read records and take scoped actions in your business systems.

Discuss your project

15 minutes. Start with one workflow.

Is this the right fit?

For product and engineering teams whose agent can answer questions but still needs a human to copy information or perform the next action. A custom MCP server fits when existing connectors lack the tools, permissions, or response formats your workflow needs.

Example workflow

Before

A support agent summarizes a ticket, then asks a person to look up the customer and update the CRM.

After

The agent calls named tools to retrieve customer context and propose a ticket update. The server checks permissions and validates the action before making the API call.

What you get

01

A deliberate tool surface

Tool names, input schemas, structured responses, and errors designed around the tasks your agent must complete. We avoid exposing an entire API when a small set of tools is enough.

02

Permissions outside the prompt

Authentication, scoped access, input validation, and logging at the server boundary. Write actions get explicit rules and approval points where the workflow requires them.

03

A tested handover

Source code, integration tests, deployment instructions, and operating notes in your repository. Your team can extend the tools and run the server without a proprietary APFlow runtime.

Before you book

Do I need MCP or a direct API integration?

Use MCP when AI clients need a consistent way to discover and call tools. For a fixed system-to-system workflow, a direct API integration may be simpler. We decide from the client, actions, and access requirements, not from the trend.

What should we bring to the first call?

One agent workflow, the target systems, available API documentation, and the actions the agent should and should not perform. Do not send passwords or live customer data before we agree on a secure access method.

What affects cost and timing?

The number of tools, authentication requirements, access to test environments, write permissions, and approval rules. We agree on scope and a fixed price before implementation. Most scoped builds take two to six weeks; the proposal sets your timeline.

Start with the connection that matters.

Tell us which systems need to work together, what is manual today, and what a successful result would look like. We will help you decide on a practical first scope.
